Most grandparents dont have much in terms of sweets around the house. This one time my family was staying with my grandma for more than a week and my brother and I were really needing some sweets.

So we raided the closets only to find a bag of worthers originals.  They somewhat did the trick.  But eventually my grandma hid them on us. It was hilarious when we found out about it and I guess you just had to be there. Apparently my grandma never passed kintergarden where you learned to share.

In the summer of 2004 my friend Luke's family went on their annual canoeing trip and newsie682, Kate and I tagged along for all the fun. I don't know the name of the river that we went canoeing on, but it was at least two or three hours north of Grand Rapids MI. I remember first taking some pictures of newsie682 sleeping in the car and she hated the way they look (but I will put them on the internet anyway because she is so darn adorable). When we got there I also took some photos of Luke's family. You might notice a douche bag named Dave in those photos (in the reflection). He cut his own bangs just a few days before. Once newsie682 and I got into the water and were on our way we came into some difficult times in canoeing because we both really didn't know how to work together. In our travels out west, my grandpa and I had planned on driving from Yellowstone out the south entrance and then go through Boise to visit my cousin Jeff and his wife sweet mom100 and their kids. I was so excited to see them and it was great to pull in there in our car that had driven all the way from Michigan out there. sweet mom100 had told me that Jeff wanted to know if I would want to go tubing down a river and I said sure.



So later in the evening before dinner (after Jeff bought some new inner Tubes), we all packed them in teh van and drove about a mile through his neighborhood to the local elementary school and we got to the river. Now we didnt think anything of the river, it being in a neighborhood. We didnt even really contemplate and about 5 adults didnt even suggest to take life preservers. This turned out to be a costly and scary decision.

I was so young when my Brother, father, my uncle Kirt and his sons Noel and Kevin would go out to rifle river every year. These were some of the most memorable summer weekends of my childhood. I basically am going to merge all of my memories combined into one post.



One of the first memories that I will never forget was the time it was raining out and all of us 4 kids were stuck inside playing old maid. We bought this cool old maid deck at a local party store and I specifically remember buying a johnny appleseed piece of gum too (I dont know why I remember that). Anyways so we were playing this game and everything was good until there was some kind of conflict. It just so happened that the Old Maid had a marking on it and everyone caught on not to take the one thats marked. One time I was at Rani's house for her graduation party. I was over there early, maybe helping get everythign set up. Then her brothers girlfriend starts her brothers car up and blazes out of the drivway to go and get some plates at the store or something. Only she wasnt looking at took out my left rear bumper and scraped it all to hell. I just had getten this car 3 or 4 months ago!

So, months and weeks later I still maybe only saw 100 bucks out of the 650 I paid to get it fixed. Maybe 6 months later I tracked them down apartment complex and after about 50 lies that the skank had given me about how she would pay me back she finally submits and pays me nothing.
