So dave and i take walks a lot while at the office - atleast once a day, to help focus on our daily distractions. lately we've been walking to a building behind us and instead of going straight and cutting through the woods to the sidewalk we decided to walk down a nice grass path which runs parallel to an office building.

well all along the wall of this building are HUGE spiders. its a super market for insects, so these spiders are well fed, living large, at least as far as spider living goes. anyways we were scoping a web out (the biggest one that we could access) and as im getting closer and closer (mind you im super jumpy when it comes to spiders EEK) dave scares me - not only do i jump a hundred feet but i end up running screaming down the trail brushing every imaginary spider off of me - in the meantime there are people in their offices watching this... this same scenario was repeated atleast 2 or 3 more times through the course of about two weeks worth of walk . . . So I am sitting here having one of the greatest valentines days ever in the history of my life with my new with in Buenos Aires Chile and this video I found on my video camera just showed up in today's pictures that I was downloading off the memory stick.

This day was the day that marked my sadness for life. I was having a semi decent work day when around 10pm my daddy called me and told me I needed to go to the hospital. My mom had been there for a month at that point so I figured it had something to do with her. I made my dad tell me what was going on while I was driving. He told me that the doctors were at their ends and recommended mom into hospice. It didn't make sense to me. I just couldn't believe what he was telling me. I pulled off the road and cried for awhile. This was the last day my mom actually talked to me. I love her so much and it still hurts and I imagine it probably always will hurt to think about it. 3 Days after being in Hospice my mom passed away. I was holding her hand the whole time with our family sitting all around her. She looked absolutely beautiful. She could still squeeze my hand to communicate which was such a blessing. So about two months ago, I had this idea to quit my job and run a web start up company. I guess I was tired of changing jobs every couple of months, so I figured why not try to do my own thing for a while and see how it goes. Its been hard work and often times frustrating, but things are starting to come together a little bit. I haven't made much money, but I didn't expect to make any quickly. These kind of things always take time.

But all and all its been an interesting experiment in terms of discovering who you are. Its been a nice change to work on a project that I care about and I find that I have to force myself to stop working and do something else at 5PM or I would probably spend all on it. Hopefully everything ends up turning out alright.
