In 5th grade our teacher
Mr. Kowalski
Bio for "Mike Kowalski" (TheMemoryCrawler's Acquaintance) | Mike Kowalski |
I will never know Mr. Kowalski's email address, so I am adding a bio of him.
He was my fifth grade teacher and he was a very cool guy. He would always partner up with Mr. McGuires fifth grade class for different projects (I remember it was always split for certain things)
The ultimate project we did in his class was the 5th grade commercials where we were able to make a product and promote it in our own commercials.
I think he liked me, but sometimes I was just too much for him and he ended up giving me a 5 for being misbehaved.
It was in fifth grade as well that they showed us the birds and the bees video. I will have to scan that document on here...
This was a great year. I remember doing a project on the Aztecs and learning about all of the 50 states and their capitols.
This was also the year of the 1992 elections and we closely followed it. Good times good times.
I wonder if he even is alive these days. He always sounded like he had a scratchy voice like he smoked. I wish the best for him. What a great teacher. |
asked everyone to create a new product and to market it on a commercial that we would star in. How ingenous was that??
My product was called "Crusty Crunchies Dog Snacks". I loved being creative and I had so much fun making this all by myself. I vividly remember the day we put all of this stuff together.
During the big day of the commercial shoot, I had Liz Grant go into a room and we came up with the commerical. It was baiscally a knock off of another commercial.
The rules for the shoot of the commercial is that you only get three takes. On my first take, the class laughed sooo hard and there was so much noise that I decided to try again. And yet again the class ruined it. The third time was a charm, but when I finished the commercial I turned my head and smiled, but totally missed the camera (SEE VIDEO)!! It was hilarious.
This video is pretty much the only copy because every kid got a weekend to borrow it to watch and I was the only person who dubbed it.
There is soo much to say about each individual movie, but I will just respond to each one in a comment.
I recalled many times I have watched this video with a few people and it is by far the signature memory that came out of elementary school. Nick Azzaro and I used to watch these videos soo much. Other times,
Christy McIllroy
and I watched this while drinking one night.
I hope you all enjoy the new memory movie uploads brought to you by videoegg.com!
