When I was in 1st grade our teacher had us write a journal for the whole year. Some of the things in this journal are some of the most memorable things about learning in elementary school. I didnt do a spell check because its more fun to just read them in their raw form. Its so interesting to see how I thought back then. Life definitely can be simple when you dont know much. Enjoy

Does a shadow chang size during the day
Hypothesis
The shadow will get longer and shoter.
Experiement
We measured our shadow three times a day.
Results
Shadows are on different sides of us thay are different sizes.
Conclusion
Shadow were almost the same at AM and PM recess. Noon shadows were the shotest. Meny stodens did not mesher very carfly.

The popcorn was white. Only the outside kernal was colored.
Conclusion

What will melt faster plain or colored ice cubes.
Hypothesis
I think colored ice cubes. Our class thinks 14 plain 6 colored 5 no difference.
Experiment
Freeze 1 try of plain water. Freeze one tray of colored water. Set it out on a counter. Write down the time. Watch the ice. Write the time.
Results
10:52 - 12:30
Only plain ice cubes were left. Some people saw the plain melt faster.
Conclusion
We need to do the experiment two more times to compare the results. We have no definite results.
