Crawl Memories Help

This page is the core functionality of MemoryCrawler. It is where all the magic happens. Below this help message you can see the main menu where you can apply various filters such as Memories having certain features or memories from certain locations.

When looking at a memory notice the top section of the memory, where there is the memory title as well as links to primary filters such as dates, locations, categories and memory creator.

On the left bar, you have the actions section. If you are friends with the user, you may request a recollection or even email that person. You may also hide the skin colors to a basic color if the user posted a memory that is not readable with the color layout. You may also click the stars so we can calculate how great the memory is as well as compile a list of your favorite memories.

On the right hand side, you will see more information and pictures of the memory creator. Clicking the Fountain Pen icon will allow you to private message the user.

On the bottom section you can add a comment by clicking the bottom left hand corner. When commenting, if previous comments have been made, those users will be notified of your new update. You may also view your comments and edit them inline when you hover over the View Comments Link. Another Link on the bottom section is the View Media Link. Here you get an inline view of associated media. Use the select box to pick a title of the media to load the full screen shot or click the side bar picture. Owners of the media may upload more, or delete media. Friends of the creator, may upload and attach their own media to this memory (notifying the person who must approve the attachment first). And finally you will see the date posted. At the bottom you will see a Craaaaaaaawl recordset navigator. This is inspired by google and will allow you navigate all the memories with the filter that you currently have applied.

What was the scariest moment that has ever occurred in your life??? This could be a great starting point at documenting your memories. Try to branch out from this question and try to remember other fearful things.

His Response:

One of the scariest moments that ever happened to me was once I was riding in a car with Jenice Winowicki and Valerie to Jazz band in high school and we were going through a solid green light.

and I could never find the seat belts in this car in the morning. And as usual, we didnt have them on because they were stuck in the seat somewhere probably.

So this car drives straight through the light on the corner of Cass Lake Road and Elizabeth lake road and miraculously, Jenice's father completely swerved and dodged it.

I was sitting on the side of which would have been hit by the car. It was a near possible death situation. I would have minimally went to the hospital with broken bones.

Somehow that always happens with me. The moment I dont have a seat belt on ... bad stuff happens.

Original Memory Inspiration / Question

Do you remember your first kiss? Was it a nightmare or was it memorable? Why not create a memory from it?

Her Response:

In 8th grade, I was invited to a birthday party for Hilary Maxwell. The party was at her parents' house and the only people invited were couples. My recollection tells me there were four couples--Hilary Maxwell and Tim Hunter, Stephanie McCurdy and Jamie Scheets, Mona Shipp and that guy she was dating (Matt?), and me and Mark VanWinkle. I had no idea what I was getting into when I agreed to attend the party. I don't remember much about the first part of the party. I think we were all awkwardly sitting around and trying to find something to say. We were probably all holding hands with our little 8th grade couple buddy. The guys were all friends with each other and I think Hilary, Stephanie, and Mona knew each other pretty well. I didn't know any of them well. I probably knew Mark better than I knew the girls and we had probably been couple buddies for two weeks.

Anyway, at some point, Hilary and Tim disappeared. Everyone assumed they went to the barn to do it. I don't know . . . Read More..
