I don't know if you remember this or not Kev, but I never got to thank you for this and what better a time than now?
My father passed away and my mom didn't want me to go to the funeral home again... I wasn't handling it well. I don't remember exactly how it ended up, but my pal Kevin came over to my house instead of me having to go to the 3rd viewing. We had a great time. We played hide and seek, whoever was watching us made grilled cheese, and I taught Kevin how to roll up in a blanket like a cacoon, so we could see who could walk farther all bundled up. I'm pretty sure he won.
Anyway, it was just a good day in the midst of several very bad, and having a friend around to distract me for just that short time was very comforting and calming. Dispite all those silly people we become later in life I never did forget this random act of kindness. Thanks buuuddy!

While my swimming and strength skills are mirrored to the above referenced actions, I would never have let my dear friend drown, nearly unthinkable! You see, I was told by a very good source (Elizabeth Peirce) that Dave had a crush on me; and being the little unfeminine, tom-boy who was entirely without positive flirting skills that I was, I thought the only way to reciprocate such harmless elementary school ponderings would be to, of course, bully him!
While, it turns out my informate was severely mistaken, one can only imagine the utter mortification I suffered at the hand (or should I say fist) of Mr. Rene. ( I cried the whole way home, some tom-boy eh?)What Dave will never know (oh until now of course) was that my . . . Read More..
