One time I spent the night at my friend Chris' house on a friday night. He was my best friend all throughout middle school, but this idea of ours to hang out turned out to be a life changing event for both of us.

We both we kind of sick and both had some kind of flu or something on this particular friday night and we did our usual stuff like play Super Nintendo into the wee hours of the night.

But that night something really messed up happened.  I had a Grand Maul Seizure in his house.  The reason I had one was because I was recently weened off of my medication.

Basically I was in a dream and I vividly remember falling from a cliff.  At this point in reality physically fell off the couch.  In my dream I hit the ground and I remember feeling like I was on fire.  Most doctors can tell you that you never feel anything when you have a Seizure, but I can tell you that it was the worst pain in my life and in my dream I was screaming and crying.

Back to reality, I bit a chunk of my tounge off and was bleeding all over the place.  I was shaking so profusely that I had rug burns all on my chin and cheeks.  I am unconsious the whole time.

Silvia (Chris' Mom) calls up my mom and she immediately knows what to do and tells her whats happening.  They dial 911 and paramedics arrive soon.

At this point they were trying to get me to snap out of it by talking to me, but apparently all I did was look around with wide eyes, not hearing a word or sound.

I had many seizures that night and was conscious through various parts in the hospital and in the emergency ambulence.  I remember one part of being moved through the hospital and the doctors cutting off my pants and me being naked.  Passing out moments later and having another seizure.

I also remember my mom with me holding my hand and then feeling the Seizures coming alive again taking over. I yelled and cried that another one was coming on!!  And I lost consciousness again.

I am crying as I am typing this because this memory was one of the most fearful events of my life and just talking about this brings fear right back into my life as if it is happening right now.

It is really messed up growing up with a disease such as this and I havent had one ever since.  Thank god they didnt kill me and I am thankful for that every day of my life.
