So, I have a couple of buddies named Lance and Jeff. My fiance and I had them over for a night of BBQing and drinks. That night we went through a bottle of Vodka, Scotch, and about 24 beers.

For some unknown reason my buddy Jeff thinks it's a good idea to have Pay Per View Porn on the TV while we drink. Then he calls a friend of his over. She and Jeff start making out. She and Lance start making out. I think strip poker was played. And at about 1:00 AM the waffle maker was used(for its intended purpose). I was the waffle chef, and last to eat. Because Lance needed an unholy amount of syrup for his waffle I was left syrupless.

Jeff ended up sleeping on our couch. Lance and the aforementioned gal friend crashed downstairs. Jeff got a call the next day..."Lance doesn't have anything, does he?" One of the coolest and weirdest professors I had while attending Oakland was Prof. Mathieson. I took a database class with him as well as I got my first insight into PHP by taking an advanced web design class.

His favorite word in the whole world was DUDE.

One class I remember he picked up someones cell phone that rang and started talking to some random person.

Another time around this time of the year in 2001 or 2002, he had a controversial session where he was trying to explain that terrorists are heroes. (From some peoples perspective.)

He loves Zena the warrior princess and he also does lots of research on psychology.

We had a lot of fun classes together building applications for hippo events (a text based application to buy tickets), two up (a australian gambling game built in javascript) and much more. I miss oakland.

Another time I had an incident while running was in Kego Harbor. I was running down a road and I just totally tripped on the sidewalk. This was the worst fall I have ever done while running and my knee was totally messed up.

Gladly some people in an SUV helped me out and drove me home, because I dont think I would have been able to make it back. People are really nice and 90% of the people in this world have very good hearts.

High School football games were definitely something very special to me.

Being a sweet trumpet in the marching band we would obviously be tucked in the right hand corner of the track, playing lots of cheery tunes when something good happens.

But some of the greatest memories occured in between the 3rd and 4th quarter. Where the band would do "the mosh."

The mosh would be exactly how you would envision it, a huge pit of dorky bandos pushing each other like the Deftones or Tool was on stage. The drummers would be playing a passionate beat as we beat the crap outta each other. (they eventually stopped it so no one would get hurt)

I loved playing at half time too. It was so much fun.

Boy things will never be the same and those events were once in a lifetime events. I had a lot of fun in high school.

Anyone who is still in high school reading this, cherish the fun times you have with your classmates in high school. Cause even if you come back to watch a game, its just not the same.....

So goes the great Mentos and pop experiment...

My brother finally learned about it recently and wanted to try it out.

I had already done it twice by this point of the video and we got it pretty high.

The first video I did with my company randomly when John got everyone out into the parking lot to watch this happen.

We made a sweet module to dump all the mentos in the first time, but I think there was a backup and not all of them went in.
